JUST IN: 4 of the 28 Seafarers Who Reached Bacolod Positive in the Rapid Test

BACOLOD CITY – Four (4) of the twenty-eight (28) seafarers who arrived in the city tested positive based on the rapid testing.

According to the Facebook page of Bombo Radyo Bacolod, City Mayor Evelio “Bing” Leonardia wanted all seafarers to undergo the swab test in order to prove if they’re positive or not. He said this during the press conference with the health authorities.

Meanwhile, Leonardia was thankful for the approve of the resolution for the extension of the Enhance Community Quarantine (ECQ) affecting the entire city of Bacolod. This action is a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of the people in the city.

On the other hand, the national Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) was condemned by different sectors in the city for extending the ECQ until May 15, 2020.

Based on the Department of Health (DOH) Bulletin Board for the COVID-19 cases in the Western Visayas, Bacolod City has 2 patient still admitted and 1 in home quarantine and two (2) death toll with four (4) recovered patients.
