Magnitude 4.1 Earthquake Hits Leyte March 3, 2020 (Tuesday)

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) recorded that the magnitude of 4.1 hits Leyte. The time of impact is 02:51:01 PM on Tuesday Noon, March 3, 2020. PHIVOLCS also recorded the location of the quake, 11.40°N, 124.43°E – 007 km N 58° W of Leyte (Leyte) and the Depth of Focus (Km) is 001.

Tsunami is also the greatest threat after the quake as the wave moves backward from the seashore and produces a gigantic wave that has a strong power to crush its path.

  • Intensity II – Tanauan, Barugo, Palo, Jaro, Tolosa, Dagami, San Miguel, Dulag, Babatngon, Leyte; Tacloban City
