First Filipino who Recovered from Coronavirus (COVID-19) is Patient 14 from Pasay City

Good News! The Department of Health (DOH) reported Monday, March 16, two new cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19), bringing the total number of positive cases in the Philippines to 142. DOH also reported the first Filipino who recovered from Covid-19.

The recovered patient (PH14) is a 46-year-old Filipino male from Pasay City, which brings the total number of recoveries to 3.

Patient 14 has no travel history, admitted on March 5, 2020, at Makati Medical Center (MMC) and was tested positive with Coronavirus (COVID-19) last March 9, 2020.

Patient 14 was officially discharged on Sunday, March 15 by Makati Medical Center (MMC). The two recovered cases were PH1 and PH3, both Chinese women admitted at San Lazaro Hospital (SLH) in Manila.

As of March 16, 2020, the latest update of Coronavirus Worldwide, more than 174,772 people have been infected and over 6,686 have died worldwide from the novel coronavirus, have reached some 80 countries and territories. There are 77,867 recovered from the epidemic disease.
