While the DOH awaits further information including formal advice from the WHO, Paracetamol is still a good first choice to treat fever and other symptoms of COVID-19, unless the attending physician determines a contraindication, stated by the Department of Health.

Patients who are already taking ibuprofen as prescribed by their doctors should not stop without first consulting their doctor, DOH added.
