Another doctor has died due to coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) on Saturday (March 28, 2020).
Dra. Helen Tudtud a pathologist from Cebu City, had passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2020.
Her nephew Vincent Thomas Evangelista posted on his Facebook page, he wrote, “I lost a mom. Since I was young she was always my Mommy Helen. She has always been a second mom to me,”
Vincent added, “Mommy Helen was one of the most generous people I know. She would always think of other people. She would always be the one who would be first to help when any of us was in need. To say that she was caring was an understatement,”
“She was such a bubbly person and will deeply miss her. We love you, Mommy Helen! I truly believe that you are with God now. Please help Daddy Den continue fighting, please help Daddy Den fight to stay with Debbie and Dj. We love you Mommy Helen and we will truly miss you,” Vincent Thomas said.
According to the Philippine Medical Association, before Dra. Helen died, there are also 10 doctors who have died due to COVID-19.
The Department of Health (DOH) said on Saturday that the country’s total COVID-cases reached 1,075 cases as more testing is being done.
Also, the death toll is at 68 and the total recoveries numbered 35.
The DOH has tested a total of 2,686 individuals. Of these, 920 have tested negative and 667 have pending results.
