Based on the report of GMA News Unang Balita, the first case of COVID-19 has no travel history.

The 54-year-old male infected victim of coronavirus is admitted at Northern Mindanao Medical Center.

In addition to that, the patient started to began showing symptoms of the disease last February 24, 2020.

He is the 40th person who is infected with COVID-19 in the Philippines so far.

One of more than 40 China coronavirus cases in the Philippines was confirmed by the medical authorities somewhere else in the private hospital in the Visayas.

The patient had to go home to Dumaguete City on March 1, 2020, after attending a convention in the National Capital Region or NCR, based on the report of the provincial health official.
