According to the report interview, Rayver Cruz first girlfriend was Sarah Geronimo, which also the same to Sarah’s first boyfriend was Rayver Cruz.

That was 2009 during the day of heart on February 14, the two exchanged of their sweet commitment sealed with a promise words “I love you,” but relationship lasted only for one year and two months until 2010 on the month of April.

Their relationship was unknown to the people even to their parents especially in the side of the actress knowing how strict are the parents of Sarah when it comes to their daughter’s love affair. Then, even after the end of their relationship seldom only knew about it.

All their love stories told had been a matter of secrecy. Mostly done in a phone communication.

The Rayver Cruz and Sarah Geronimo’s love affair were against Sarah’s parents Delfin and Divine Greonimo even from the very start, knowing that their love for Sarah was so wide and limitless as their rule governing her love life was so tight and hard to break.

The strict implementation to the love life of Sarah becomes the problem of Rayver Cruz but he understands because he knows they are yet young at that time.

The actor revealed that because of parent’s overprotective actions with her, he receives evil spoken words calling him “Gago” during the set of ASAP XV on the month April 2010 prior to their breakup.

“No’ng nalaman no’ng magulang ko na ginano’n ako—pati no’ng nakakatanda kong kapatid, pati ‘yong mga tito ko—gusto nilang sugurin na,” Rayver said.

“Lalo na yung kuya ko. Sobra, overprotective yung panganay! Gusto niyang sumugod na gustong sabihin na, ‘Sige, sapakin mo ‘yong kapatid ko sa harapan ko!’

“E ang lalaki pa naman ng mga lalaki sa amin. Sabi ko, ‘Huwag, huwag. Ako lang naman ito. Okey lang ‘yon. May right naman sila, gano’n.”

Their relationship ended up at the same year, but the actor understand that he cannot blame the actress because he knows it was not her fault, but to her parents.

In a closing remark of Cruz, he wishes for the singer that she can stand with her own decision someday.

“Sana, balang araw, makatagpo din siya ng sakto talaga para sa kanya… and sana balang araw, hindi naman siya bumabata, magkaroon siya ng sariling… kahit konting desisyon para sa sarili niya.”
