JUST IN: First Confirmed Coronavirus (2019 nCoV) in the Philippines January 30, 2020

DOH has confirmed first case of coronavirus in the Philippines.

The 38-year-old woman from Wuhan, China who arrived in the country last January 21, 2020 is currently admitted in one of the hospital in the Philippines but authorities refused to reveal the name of the hospital.

Department of Health Secretary Francisco T. Duque III has made the confirmation on Thursday afternoon, January 30, 2020 as the first case of Coronavirus infection in the country.

Meanwhile, the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines prompted to call the attention of all the Catholic believers to do the Oratio Imperata (Obligatory Prayer) for protection and guidance amid the outbreak of the novel coronavirus or 2019-nCoV in the country.
