Is January 2, 2020 declared as official non-working holiday?

Many of the working individuals are hoping that January 2, 2020 is to be declared non-working holiday in order to extend vacation and bonding with the family and love ones. This is in connection to the previous year 2019 that Malacañang Palace declared January 2, 2019 as national holiday per memorandum circular No.55 signed by Executive Secretary Salvador Medealdea suspending work in the government offices nationwide.

As of writing this article, the Malacañang Palace is not releasing yet any memorandum circular pertaining the suspension of work for the January 2, 2020 as national holiday.
