Formerly, President Duterte threatened the giant network ABS-CBN not to renew the contract once expire on March 2020 but just this Monday afternoon, December 30, 2019 he gave unsolicited advice to sell the network.

If in case the renewal of the franchise of the giant network in the country ABS-CBN will not be signed by President Duterte the TV network will be closed as well as the Radio operations.

“Itong ABS, mag-expire ang contract ninyo. Mag-renew kayo, ewan ko lang kung may mangyari diyan. Kung ako sa inyo ipagbili niyo na ‘yan,” Duterte said in a speech before earthquake victims in M’lang, North Cotabato.

“Kasi ang mga Pilipino ngayon lang makaganti sa inyong kalokohan. And I will make sure that you will remember this episode of our times forever,” he added.

According to report, the proposed sale of ABS-CBN network comes out from the basis of Duterte’s friend Dennis Uy who is recently expanding his business into the media entertainment sector.

Dennis Uy is a Davao-based business man forming “Udenna communications Media and Entertainment Holdings Corporation.
