Several Local Government Units announce suspension of classes in all public and private schools (Selected Areas Only) on Thursday, November 7, 2019. In recent news, PAGASA announce Tropical Depression “Quiel” on Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2019 around 11 am.

Tropical Storm “QUIEL” remains almost stationary, according to PAGASA. “Between tonight and tomorrow evening, Tropical Storm “QUIEL” and the Tail-End of a Cold Front will bring light to moderate with occasional heavy rains over Ilocos Region, Batanes, Cagayan (including Babuyan Islands), Apayao, Zambales, Bataan, Occidental Mindoro, Antique, and portions of Palawan (Cuyo Islands and Kalayaan Islands). Light to moderate with intermittent heavy rains will be experienced over Aklan, Iloilo, Guimaras, Oriental Mindoro, and the rest of Palawan (including Calamian Islands),” PAGASA added.

The location of eye/center tt 10:00 PM today, the center of Tropical Storm “QUIEL” was estimated based on all available data at 435 km West Northwest of Coron, Palawan (13.5 °N, 116.5 °E ). Moving Almost Stationary and has maximum sustained winds of 75 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 90 kph.
