The Department of Science and Technology-Science Education Institute (DOST-SEI) is accepting applications for the 2020 S&T Undergraduate Scholarships Program releases the official list of passers for October 20, 2019 examination.

DOST-SEI Director, Dr. Josette Biyo, encourages all qualified Grade 12 students (School Year 2019-2020) to apply and pursue careers in science and technology.

“As long as you meet the requirements, seize and make the most of this opportunity to become a DOST scholar. We hope to reach not only the country’s best minds but also those with a passion to serve the country,” she said.

Aspiring examinees may submit documentary requirements and accomplished application form to DOST-SEI Science and Technology Scholarship Division (STSD) office at the DOST Compound, General Santos Avenue, Bicutan, Taguig City or any DOST Regional Office or Provincial Science and Technology Center.

October 20, 2019, DOST Scholarship exam for academic year AY 2020-2021 will release on five (5) months after the exam. The official results are available here as DOST posted online.

The scholarship qualifiers must enroll in any of the following:

  • State Universities and Colleges (SUC)
  • CHED identified Centers of Excellence (COE) or Centers of Development (COD) for the priority S&T courses.
  • Institutions with Federation of Accrediting Agencies of the Philippines (FAAP) Level III Accreditation

DOST undergraduate scholars will benefit from the following:

  • increased monthly stipend of P7,000 per month
  • P40,000 per year tuition and other school fees subsidy
  • P10,000 per year book allowance
  • one-time P1,000 uniform allowance
  • one-time P1,000 graduation clothing allowance
  • one economy-class roundtrip fare per year for those studying outside of their home province
  • group health and accident insurance

Exam Coverage:

This scholarship examination is designed to measure abilities that determine academic and professional success in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. The Test includes the following domains: Logical Reasoning, English, Science, Mathematics, Mechanical-Technical, and a Self-Inventory part.
