The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) and NDRRMC announce a 4.1 Magnitude Earthquake Hits Malita (Davao Occidental) on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 around 06:37:29 AM.

The location is 06.33°N, 125.47°E – 018 km S 60° W of Malita (Davao Occidental) and the Depth of Focus (KM) is 024 with the Origin “Tectonic.”

Instrumental Intensities:

  • Intensity II – Alabel, Sarangani and General Santos City
  • Intensity I – Tupi, South Cotabato

PHIVOLCS is the service institute of the DOST for monitoring and mitigation of volcanic eruptions, earthquakes and tsunami.
