PAGASA Updates, Tropical Depression “Marilyn” Enter Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR)

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) stated that the Tropical Depression outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) has entered the PAR and was named “Marilyn.”

Tropical Depression “MARILYN” entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) at 9:30 AM today.

As of 10:00 AM, the center of Tropical Depression “MARILYN” was estimated based on all available data at 1,355 km East of Casiguran, Aurora (17.4 °N, 134.8 °E).

Its move Northwest at 25 kph and has a maximum sustained of 55 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 70 kph.

“MARILYN” is less likely to make landfall in the country throughout the forecast period.
