The Catholic Church in Malabon is making round on social media following after the incidents that a homeless man was deprived of his rights to partake the communion.

The moment was captured by a netizen identified as Gani Triste and posted on his Facebook wall to express his disappointment as he actually witnessed how this homeless man neglected and deprived to receive communion rights during the mass at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church located in Tugatog, Malabon.

On his Facebook wall, Triste expresses sentiment as what he had witnessed during the Holy Communion concerning to the homeless man who followed the fall in line and waited to take part of the communion when his time has come he was not given attention by the lay minister administering in the line.

Everyone comes to church expected equal treatment from the assisting priests and lay ministers. We can simply understand Triste felt frustrating from witnessing the scene.

They brought the matter to the attention of the church usher but refused to explain the incidence and replied him saying, “Di namin siya napansin.”

While thinking the matter, Triste reasoned out to his mind if that is possible to not seeing the man following the fall in line waiting the same opportunity as others had. Even if considering that he was kneeling, yet, still Triste was thinking that’s impossible not to see him.

Triste was not at peace of mind, after the mass he approach the priest and told him about the happening. He expected from the priest to give him comfortable words. But what a surprised when he heard from the priest indifferent answers saying, “Sabihin mo ‘wag sya magtampo, next time dalawa ibibigay ko sa kanya.”

The story went viral online resulting to call the attention of Catholic Bishops and called immediate conference with the majority members of  the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) to properly addressed the issue regarding the insensitive remark of the priest and the alleged discrimination of the said homeless man in concerned.

In the post of Triste he captioned the hastags #notodiscrimination #Jesusisforall.
