The Metro Manila Council release statement on Tuesday, September 10, 2017 that there will be #WalangPasok (no classes) on November 16 and 17, 2017 (Thursday and Friday) due to 31st Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit.
#WalangPasok on Nov. 16 & 17, 2017 no classes covered private and public schools in Caloocan, Manila, Marikina, Muntinlupa, Navotas, Paranaque, Pasay, Pasig, Pateros, Quezon City, San Juan, Taguig, Valenzuela, Las Pinas, Makati, Malabon, and Mandaluyong.
The ASEAN dialogue partners are Australia, Canada, China, the European Union, India, Japan, New Zealand, Russia, South Korea and the United States.
Here are the list of holidays in October and November 2017
Based on Proclamation No. 50 issued by Malacañang, the following dates are the official holidays this month and in November:
October 31 (Tuesday) – Special non-working holiday (to give time to families to prepare for All Saints Day)
November 1 (Wednesday) – Special non-working holiday, All Saints Day
November 16 – 17 (Thursday and Friday) – 31st ASEAN Summit
