Tropical Depression FABIAN has maintained its strength as it continues to move in a West Northwest direction in Philippines. The PAGASA stated that the estimated rainfall amount is from moderate to heavy within the 200 km diameter of the Tropical Depression. Good new! Bagyong Fabian will exit Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) this evening.

It is located at the center of Tropical Depression “FABIAN” was estimated based on all available data at 170 km West Northwest of Basco, Batanes (20.8°N, 120.4°E) as of 10:00 AM update of PAGASA.

Luzon: Batanes and Babuyan Group of Islands.

Impacts of the wind:

  • Very light or no damage to low risk structures,
  • Light damage to medium to high risk structures
  • Slight damage to some houses of very light materials or makeshift structures in exposed communities. Some banana plants are tilted, a few downed and leaves are generally damaged
  • Twigs of small trees may be broken.
  • Rice crops, however, may suffer significant damage when it is in its flowering stage.
