The 23-year-old joins ‘Tawag ng Tanghalan’ on ‘It’s Showtime’, last Monday, June 13, 2016. She sings Celine Dion hit song “My Heart Will Go On” but was gonged after hitting flat notes during her performance.

‘It’s Showtime’ hosts Vice Ganda and Anne Curtis did not mention anything related to Maine Mendoza, who currently a star in “Eat Bulaga”, only netizens compare and noticed that Diane Pitos a close physical resemblance to Maine Mendoza.

As she joined in Tawag ng Tanghalan in ‘It’s Showime’ earned negative remarks from certain AlDub fans saying that it’s not good for Maine Mendoza look-alike to participate on Eat Bulaga’s rival show. Diane immediately respond on her official account on Twitter, “Yes! Iam an AlDub fan. But it doesn’t mean that I don’t have the right to be a singer in other network.”
