Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and Board for Professional Teachers (BPT) release the official results in March 20, 2016 LET (Licensure Examination for Teachers) or more popularly known as Teachers Board Exam within few 29-42 working days after the examination. According to the source, there were a huge number of takers nationwide that was not announced but PRC Baguio said a total of 7, 938 examinees took the exam in Baguio and Rosales, Pangasinan.

PRC and Board for Professional Teachers (BPT) conducted the LET Board Exam in at least 20 test locations nationwide: NCR (Manila), Baguio City, Cagayan de Oro (CDO) City, Cebu City, Davao City, Laoag City, Legazpi City, Albay, Lucena City, Quezon, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur, Rosales, Pangasinan, Tuguegarao, Masbate City, Antique, Bacolod, Iloilo, Catarman, Jolo, Sulu, Tacloban, Tawi-tawi, Zamboanga, Occidental Mindoro, Oriental Mindoro, Palawan, Romblon.

Board for Professional Teachers (BPT) who gave the licensure examination was composed by Dr. Rosita L. Navarro, Chairman; Dr. Paz I. Lucido, Dr. Paraluman R. Giron and Dr. Nora M. Uy, Members.

The first licensure examination for teachers this 2016 covered two (2) parts for Elementary – General Education (40%) and Professional Education (60%) and three (3) parts for Secondary – General Education (20%), Professional Education (40%) and Specialization (40%).

The test covered the major areas of GE (English, Filipino, Mathematics, Science and Social Sciences subjects), PE (teaching profession, social dimensions of education, principles of teaching, education technology, curriculum development, facilitating learning, child and adolescent development, assessment of student learning, developmental reading, field study and practice teaching). The 10 specializations for Secondary Teacher with exam coverage depends on the chosen course: English, Filipino, Biological Sciences, Physical Sciences, Mathematics, Social Studies or Social Sciences, Values Education, MAPEH, Agriculture and Fishery Arts and TLE (Technology and Livelihood Education.

In order to pass March 2016 LET, an examinee must obtain an average rating of not less than 75% and must have no rating lower than 50% in any of the tests, PRC said.

According to our source, PRC probable release the official results of March 20, 2016 LET examination is on May 19 or May 20, 2016. The expected date excludes holidays (Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and National Election Day) and weekends. A total of 61 calendar days or about 2 months was calculated.

Last March 2015, PRC release the official results in 38 working days with a total of 12, 103 out of 44, 144 examinees (27.42%) “Elementary Level” and 17, 904 out of 56, 596 examinees (31.63%) “Secondary Level” who successfully passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET).

Last September 2015, results were out online in 48 working days with a total of 21, 461 out of 68,442 examinees (31.36%) “Elementary Level” and 34, 010 out of 81, 463 examinees (41.75%) “Secondary Level” who have hurdled the licensure examination.

Update! Dr. Carl Balita said: “Sometimes things happen earlier than we expect”. Aside from the full results, the registration schedule for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be announced. The requirements for the issuance of Certificate of Registration and Professional Identification Card (ID) are the following: 1) duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal; 2) latest Community Tax Certificate (Cedula); 3) 1 piece passport size picture (colored with white background and complete nametag); 4) metered documentary stamp for the Oath Form; and 5) the Initial Registration Fee of P600 and Annual Registration Fee of P450 for 2016-2019. Successful examinees should PERSONALLY register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.

The dates and venues for the oath taking ceremonies of the new successful examinees in the said examination WILL BE ANNOUNCED LATER, PRC said.

Based on the history of LET, the total days before the release of teachers board exam results correlate with the total number of examinees. For example, PRC was able to announce September 2015 LET in about 48 working days due to high number of test takers as compared to other schedules with less than 100,000 examinees.
