Top 10 Passers (TopNotchers) For March 2016 MedTech Board Exam Results

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announces a total of 2,046 out of 2,596 passed the Medical Technologist Licensure Examination given by the Board of Medical Technology in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cebu and Davao this March 2016.

The members of the Board of Medical Technology who gave the licensure examination are Dr. Marietta C. Baccay, Chairman; Ms. Marilyn R. Atienza and Ms. Marian M. Tantingco, Members. The results were released in three (3) working days from the last day of examination.

The successful examinees who garnered the ten (10) highest places in the March 2016 Medical Technologist Licensure Examination are the following:

According to PRC, “Starting March 28, 2016, registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be done on-line. Please go to www.prc.gov.ph and follow instructions for initial registration. Those who will register are required to bring the following: duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, current Community Tax Certificate (cedula), 1 piece passport size picture (colored with white background and complete name tag), 2 sets of metered documentary stamps and 1 short brown envelope with name and profession. Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals”.

PRC added, “Those who failed to pass the board examination for Medical Technology but had obtained a general rating of at least 70% can register as Medical Laboratory Technician.”

Examinees answer the following subjects; Clinical Chemistry, Microbiology and Parasitology, Clinical Microscopy (Urinalysis and other Body Fluids), Hematology, Blood Banking and Serology, Histopathologic Techniques, Cytotechnology, Medical Technology Laws, Related Laws and its Implementing rules, and the Code of Ethics.
