Bagyong “Onyok” is fast approaching in landing here in the Philippines. Pag-asa has updated the weather forecast this morning. At 4:00 am today, Tropical Depression “ONYOK” was estimated based on all available data at 405 km East of Hinatuan, Surigao Del Sur (8.4N, 130.0E) with maximum sustained winds of 55 kph near the center. It is forecast to move West at 17 kph. Northeast Monsoon affecting Luzon.

This weather forecast is effected from 5am this morning until 5am tomorrow for exactly 24 hours. Provinces affected where regions of CARAGA, Davao, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao and the provinces of Lanao Del Sur and North Cotabato with rains and gusty winds. Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon where light rains and cloudy skies and also the rest of the country.

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast will prevail over Luzon and Visayas and coming from the northeast to north over the rest of Mindanao. The coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be moderate to rough.
