Death Counts Increases As Floods Continue To Spread

41 people died in the report as of now because of the continuous floods across the country which is affected by Typhoon “Onyok”. Last week the counted dead is only 20 but now it increases. Heavy rains pummelled the entire Philippines this Saturday,which causes flooding in more areas as the government declared a “state of national calamity”.

Poor farming communities in the main southern island of Mindanao were flooded Saturday after at least two rivers burst their banks.The storm, locally named Onyok, had weakened into a low pressure area after hitting land late Friday but continued to bring more rains to Mindanao and the central Visayas islands.

State weather broadcaster Robert Badrina said that “Almost the entire Philippines is experiencing rains. More floods are possible,” It is expected also that the rain will continue so the people is advise to have a safety check in their family as always. Rains are everywhere, we just need to be ready.
