The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announces that 9,707 out of 17,891 passed the Nurse Licensure Examination given by the Board of Nursing in the cities of Manila, Bacolod, Baguio, Cabanatuan, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Dagupan, Davao, Iloilo, Laoag, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga last May 2015.

The members of the Board of Nursing who gave the licensure examination are Carmencita M. Abaquin, Chairman; Perla G. Po, Gloria B. Arcos, Carmelita C. Divinagracia, Carfredda P. Dumlao, Glenda S. Arquiza and Florence C. Cawaon, Members.

PRC named Chinese General Hospital Colleges, Silliman University and West Visayas State University – La Paz as the top performing schools in the May 2015 NLE or nursing board exam as per Commission Resolution No. 2010-547 series of 2010: WITH 50 OR MORE EXAMINEES AND WITH AT LEAST 80% PASSING PERCENTAGE.

Examiness answered the following subjects; Nursing Practice I (Basic Foundation of Nursing and Professional Nursing Practice), Nursing Practice II (Community Health Nursing and Care of the Mother and Child), Nursing Practice III (Care of Clients with Physiologic and Psychological Alternations – Part A), Nursing Practice IV (Care of Clients with Physiologic and Psychological Alternations – Part B) and Nursing Practice V (Care of Clients with Physiologic and Psychological Alternations – Part C).

Pursuant to Section 16, of Republic Act No. 9173, “all successful candidates in the examination shall be required to take an oath of professional before the Board or any government official authorized to administer oaths prior to entering upon the nursing practice”, according to the PRC.

In May 2014, nursing licensure exam results were released online in 23 working days. PRC announced that 11,225 out of 29,188 hurdled the nursing exams.
In November 2014, PRC announced results in 29 working days after the last day of exam. A total of 15,292 out of 26,690 takers passed the board exam.
