Lyca Gairanod emphasized that there is no competition between her and The Voice Kids 1st runner up Darren Espanto.With an interview, the two had shared that they had been enjoying every success they have achieved together.

“Wala po [competition], ano po kami pantay. Parang kaming dalawa halimbawa ‘yung sa Europe kaming dalawa eh kami po ‘yung nakuha and lahat naman po kami, lahat ng The Voice kami lahat ng top 4, pantay-pantay po, wala pong tumaas-taas, lahat pantay, ‘yun po,” she stressed.

Lyka said the he and Darren are really friends. “Friends na friends naman po.” She even recounted how they started to become great pals when they were still in The Voice competition. “’Yun po nagkaibigan po kami sabi ko kuya Dar… parang di ko pa po siya kilala dati, sinsabi ko ‘Hello anong pangalan mo?’ Tapos sabi ko sa kanya ‘Pwede ba kitang maging friends’ eh pumayag siya.”

Lyca’s life has changed alot especially the moment she joined The Voice Kids. Now that another batch of good and aspiring singers are going to join the competition for its second season, Lyca shared some words of advice for the contestants. “Ang advice ko po sa sasali sa The Voice Kids, huwag po kayong mawalan ng pag-asa, be confident po at kahit po anong mangyari, manalo, matalo go pa rin ng go. Nandiyan naman po si God para sumuporta sa atin at bago po tumongtong ng stage lagi po tayong magdasal, unang-una po ‘yun.”
