MMFF 2014 Box Office Update: ” The Amazing Praybeyt Benjamin ” Dominates December 25 To 27, 2014 On Theaters

The box office body of Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) releases the latest results of the Metro Manila Film Festival 2014 entry movies who dominate the box office prior to its opening date on Christmas Day, December 25.

Amazing-Praybeyt-Benjamin-500x333According to the official tally results “Praybeyt Benjamin 2” considered to be the top earner prior to its showing beating the eight other movies.

MMDA Chairman Francis Tolentino, the spearhead of the said prestigious film festival they stressed that they are looking forward to an increase of 10% ticket release on the designated tickets booths  which the entry films are showing nationwide. This is due to the increase of viewers turn out who went witness the movie. Based on the actual income last 2013 is almost reach up to 128 million php.

The authority responsible for income tally results refused to show the actual income as of December 25, but hinted that at around 3:00 on Christmas Day. The Amazing Praybeyt Benjamin starring Vice Ganda is dominating the box office when it comes to number of viewers and income.

On the second spot is given to “My Big Bossings” headed by Vic Sotto, the third spot the horror oriented film “Feng Shui 2” by Kris Aquino and Coco Martin comes at the fourth spot is “Kubot: The Aswang Chronicles” starring Dingdong Dantes.

It is sad to say but some official movie entries were being phase out from the theaters nationwide because the total number of viewers becomes too low. Those movies are “Bonifacio: Ang Unang Pangulo”, English Only Please, Magnum Muslim and Shake Rattle and Roll XV.

MMDA also added that the box office result will be posted on their official website.

The MMFF 2014 Awards Night will happen this Saturday morning December 27 at Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) aiming to recognize those artists who excel on their field and to remember their hard work to make the said event happen.
