Marine Industry Authority (MARINA): OnLine Appointment System (OLAS) How to Apply?

The Marine Industry Authority (MARINA) announces its new system for transactions to all the seafarers using its newly implemented system dubbed as the “OnLine Appointment System (OLAS)” which was officially launched on the 1st day of October, 2014 according to the PRESS RELEASE 2014-033 dated September 25, 2014.

MARINA LOGOOLAS features hassle-free and user-friendly priority queuing to all seafarers selected transactions providing with a flexible and convenience ready-to-print forms.

According to MARINA Administrator Maximo Q Mejia, Jr., the seafarers are now ready to the new system since they have been properly educated and exposed to the modern ships with the high-end, navigational and engineering systems that they can appreciate and surely welcome this new development.

Here are the four simple steps to apply:

  1. Go to www.marinaappointment.com
  2. Select the document to be processed. (Eg. SIRB or STCW)
  3. Pick the date and time most convenient and then click on “Next”
  4. Fill out the form, print and present it at the MARINA OLAS Verification Desk

After filling up necessary information, you need to confirm the appointment and print, then bring the printed form to the MARINA during your scheduled date and time of appointment.

On the appointed time, applicants may proceed to the following offices depending on the applicant’s transactions located at MARINA Building, Parkview Plaza, Taft Ave. corner Kalaw St., Ermita, Manila.

  • SIRB Processing Center – 5th Floor of MARINA Building
  • COP – STCW Processing Center – 7th Floor of MARINA Building
  • LINCENSURE – STCW Processing Center – 5th Floor of MARINA Building
  • SIRB Processing Center – 5th Floor of MARINA Building

MARINA administrators advised all the applicants to come at least thirty (30) minutes before the specified scheduled time and secure the queue number. Late comers may not be entertained or may be accommodated when all on-time applicants have been served.

  1. my license chief engineer never been use, all my document are from PRC issued, can you giude me please, what certificate / training should i enroll for as a marina requirements.

  2. sir/madam, good day to all, I am a chief engineer and presently on board an ocean going vessel, my COC will be expiration will be Dec 2016 and would like to inquire from your good office what training and requirements needed for renewal of documents. God Bless.

  3. Can please advise whst to choose for applying for COP. New, revalidate or re issuance? Note all my certificate are on NAC format.
