Latest Updates: Bagyong Ruby Starting to Dominates in Visayas Regions (Enters’ Philippines Area of Responsibility)

The tropical cyclone (Bagyong Ruby) will dominate the locality in the Philippines. As the PAGASA announces, the winds of greater than 60 kph and up to 100 kph may be expected to impact in the country at least 24 hours.

Another Announcement of PAGASA as the tropical cyclone will affect the locality as “Winds of 30-60 kph or intermittent rains may be expected within 36 hours.

Here are the location of eye/center as the PAGASA released online; At 10:00 AM today, the eye of Typhoon “RUBY” was located based on all available data at 435 km East of Borongan, Eastern Samar (11.8°N, 129.4°E).

Bagyong Ruby maximum strength will sustain winds of 215 kph near the center and gustiness of up 250 kph and the movement forecast as to move West Northwest at 13th kph.

PAGASA releases also the Forecast Position of Bagyong Ruby:

  • 24 hour (tomorrow morning): 120 km East Northeast of Borongan, Eastern Samar
    • 48 hour (Sunday morning): 50 km West of Catarman, Northern Samar or at 60 km East of Masbate City, Masbate.
    • 72 hour (Monday morning): in the vicinity of Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro.

As of 2:20pm, there are 771 families at evacuation centers in the Municipality. Report from MSWD Office.
