Actress Jennylyn Mercado confirmed she is currently dating with someone special. The 27-year-old actress is to reveal yet in public the identity of her suitor.

In an interview with the celebrity website, Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP.ph), the “Second Chances” star explained that because she is single she has all the rights to do what most of the singles are doing with love life. She added that even though she is open for dating she is to putting her family and career into her list of priorities at this time.

“Single naman ako, wala namang masama. Open naman ako sa mga ganun, sa mga date-date. Sa ngayon, iba talaga ang focus ko, work and family,” she said.

The actress noted that she will make her love life private at this time, the reason she don’t want to reveal the identity of her suitor. According to Mercado her learning from the past experiences could be good enough to protect her love life from possible untoward issues.

“I just wanna keep it private. Kumbaga, natuto na ako sa mga pagkakamali ko. Sa ngayon, pamilya, gusto ko private; lovelife ko, gusto ko tahimik. Wala naman akong boyfriend, nagdi-date pa lang,” she added.

Before the interview ended, the actress has clarified rumors of linking her to the brother of actor Derek Ramsay, her co-star in the comedy movie “English Only, Please” which is set to debut this coming few months. She said he is not the man courting her.

It can be recalled that Mercado’s former relationship was with actor Patrick Garcia, who is the father of her son ‘Alex Jazz “AJ” Mercado.’ After Garcia, Mercado link with actor and TV host Luis Manzano.
