TV and Radio personality Amy Perez was happy to announce her upcoming marriage with long-time partner, Carlo Castillo.

On Friday, October 10, 2014 during the morning show of ABS-CBN dubbed as “Umagang Kay Ganda” where Perez is one of the hosts. She officially announces that she will soon tie the knot with the man she long for to live all her life and she referred as “a new journey” in her life with her partner and sons.

In the new chapter of her life, Perez wanted to start the journey together with his partner and sons living on it with love and harmony as she said she and Carlo have been dwelling together for eight long years and with that period of time they have proven themselves how they understand one another and loved one another and live with unity and respect.

“I’m just very happy to share with everybody itong bagong journey sa buhay ko. Ayaw ko talagang maiyak. Alam naman ng lahat ng tao kung ano ang pinagdadaanan ko. So I’ll be taking on a new journey sa buhay ko and I’m very, very happy to be sharing it with you guys. Kasi after 15 years, ito na ang hinihintay ko. Akala ko nga baka 60 (years old) na ako ikasal, at least hindi naman. Yes, oo sa wakas [ikakasal na ako],” she said.

Carlo Castillo is the father of Perez’ youngest son. Aside from that, the 45-year-old The TV host has another son with her former husband, musician Brix Ferraris. Perez said they are giving more importance to the need of children, which is their priority, to prepare for their children’s good future.

“This is another journey for me and Carlo, together with our boys, of course. At napakahalaga nito para sa aming dalawa ni Carlo, and siyempre para sa mga bata. ‘Yun talaga ang priority namin, ‘yung mga bata. Kasi naman, eight years na kami together so we are very happy and so blessed na finally, it’s happening,” she added.
