PBA Governors’ Cup Finals 2014 Game 1: San Mig Coffee Defeat Rain or Shine (104-101)

Rain or Shine Elasto Painters take the immense lead in three and a half quarter which looked like they were controlled and take the game 1-0 advantage. However, San Mig Coffee Mixers found their resolve to back in the game on 4th quarter cause to defeat Rain or Shine Elasto Painter with final score of 104-101 on game 1 of the PBA Governors’ Cup Finals 2014.

The Game 1 Governors’ Cup Finals between San Mig Coffee Mixers and Rain or Shine Elasto Painters was held at the Mall of Asia Arena last Tuesday night, July 1, 2014. PBA San Mig Super Coffee Mixers rallies as James Yap bombs give Mixers first blood on finals.

The Painters had a lead of 17 points in three and half quarter were looked flawless on offense but in 11-2 run on 4th quarter that Mixers exploded their points to take the Game 1 PBA Governors’ Cup Finals.

James Yap exploded a big game unleashed in the closing moments of the game with 5 minutes left. He contributed a long three and a power forward long two into the basket. The PBA declared that he is the Best Player of the Game.

On Game 2, Rain or Shine and San Mig Coffee Mixers will be compete again on Thursday, July 3, 2014 held at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
