The Legal Wife: Finale and Live Coverage [Summary of Final Episode]

The finale of the top-rating series “The Legal Wife” once again dominated the social media as the top trending topic in Twitter and micro-blogging sites. The final episode of the story which aired on Friday, June 13, 2014 ended with a peaceful confrontation of the couple Adrian (Jericho Rosales) and Monica (Angel Locsin) coming up with a mutual decision to remain in a civil agreement for the sake of their children.

The final scene, Monica told Adrian of her final decision that she will leave for the US together with their children hoping that she will forget all the painful memories of what they have been through, despite that Monica admitted that she still loves Adrian.

“Mahal pa rin kita, pero ayokong mahalin ka nang may pagdududa. Kasi alam kong that’s what we deserve, all or nothing at all. I gave you everything pero binalewala mo lang lahat,” explained Monica.

Adrian respected Monica’s decision, but before they split their way Adrian told her that he heard her voice when he was in a condition between life and death, figuring in a car accident. Because of that, he has realized that there is a reason that he needed to survive for her and their children, he said.

When Adrian was about to leave, Monica calls him and returned her wedding ring but she ask favor of keeping it for a chance in the future when the time will come that they are both ready each other for a new beginning of their relationship, she said, “you may put again the ring on my finger.”

On the other hand, the story will not be completed without the settlement in life of Adrian’s mistress, Nicole (Maja Salvador) with Monica as best friend. Nicole comes across the way of Monica and say sorry of what she has done wrong to her, knowing that Monica was the one helps saved the life of her son Jacob who was trapped inside the car of Nicole when she visit Adrian in the hospital.

At the same time, she received the call from Jacob’s nanny, informing her that her son Jacob was inside the car sleeping while she drove off going to the hospital to visit Adrian. Only that time she realized that long time ago she left her son inside the car, then she rushed to get him out.

After knowing that Monica was the one saves the life of her son, Nicole apologized to her. And Monica told Nicole to take care of her son Jacob, because he will be the one to give her the love that she has been looking for.

Nicole also reconciled with her dad, Dante (portrayed by Mark Gil), after he also apologized to her.

Monica also told her mother Eloisa (Rio Locsin) about her feelings that she was feared of the possibility of being hurt again after she held Jacob the son of her ex-husband Adrian with Nicole.

“I thought I married a man of integrity. Ang taas-taas ang tingin ko sa kanya. Kaya nu’ng nagawa niya ‘yun, ang sakit-sakit ‘Nay, durog na durog ako. Ang tagal kong inayos ang sarili ko ‘Nay. Akala ko enough na yung tatlong taon na magkahiwalay kami. Pero nu’ng nahawakan ko ‘yung anak ni Nicole, bumalik lahat. Yung fear, yung doubt, kaya tinatanong ko ang sarili ko kung kaya ko pa,” Monica lamented.

The reconciliation took place during the final episode, a healthy indication that life will be moving forward, with the characters opting for a fresh start with their lives and relationships.

  2. I really like this movie because it tells us of how men acts behund our back and also how us women have to stand up to do the right decision even if it hurts but it is for the benefit of the children and the health of the family…

  3. The legal wife is a great movie,the lesson i learnt from it is that men are something else,i really feel so bad for Monica after all the trust,love and care she showed him ,he still cheated on her!

  4. Monica is a disciplinarian. Bold and fearless. She interests me with her natural actions. It’s good she would not remarry Adrian.
