Myanmar President U Thein Sein will visit Bantayan Island, Cebu to personally extend the help to typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda) victims Friday December 6, 2013.

President Sein, who is in schedule for 3-day state visit to the most typhoon-affected areas in the country left around 8:30 a.m. from Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) to Mactan International Airport in Cebu. Upon arrival, the Cebu provincial officials were preparing to welcome President Sein and company.

According to the media advisory from the Philippine Information Agency, the Myanmar President will arrive at 10:a.m. Friday, to Sta. Fe Airport in Bantayan Island by helicopter with the Cebu Governor Hilario Davide III. Right after that, the visiting head proceed immediately to the town of Bantayan to meet the mayors of the three towns.

President Sein conducted about 30-minutes aerial inspection to the entire Island covering the three towns, Bantayan, Santa Fe and Madridejos which was reported of a massive destruction of typhoon Yolanda.
