Italian actor model singer Matteo Guidicelli denied rumors that he went to Cebu and stayed for a week because of Sarah Geronimo. The two are being romantically linked.

During the week Matteo is in Cebu City, Sarah G was at the Waterfront Hotel last December 7 to finish the last leg of her long concert “Perfect 10” marking a decade in show business. With this premise rumors have been established alleging the actor flying in Cebu for Sarah Geronimo.

However, in an interview with ABS-CBN News on Tuesday night, Matteo admitted that he was in the city of Cebu at the same week while Sarah was in concert at the Waterfront Hotel.

“I was in Cebu last weekend. Pumunta ako doon for different reasons, for family reasons,” he briefly explained.

Cebu is Matteo’s hometown.

Despite of the fact that Galema actor denied, but he was seen in the concert and denied again that they met up after.

On the other hand the netizens are speculating that the photo posted last Sunday in the Instagram account of Matteo was taken from the place where he brought the pop star princess for a date.

Speaking about the issue linking him to the actress, Matteo simply said all is well between them.

“Okay naman [ang friendship], okay naman lahat,” he said.

When the actor was asked about the heard report concerning Sarah’s mom showing favor to him.

Matteo replied, “Hindi ko alam, wala naman akong naririnig na ganyan. Wala naman, wala naman. Wala talaga akong masabi kasi wala naman akong naririnig.”

“I just try to be nice to everybody. I just try to be myself to everyone so I hope they appreciate,” he added.

Rumors linking the Kapamilya star to the pop star princes started when Matteo joined Sarah’s series concert in the US sometime in the month of June. After that the actor was reportedly the only showbiz icon seen at Sarah’s private birthday party in July.

Until now, both of the stars remained quiet about their closeness, with Sarah’s statement, “This time gusto kong makita kung gaano kasinsero ang tao na ‘yon o ako din.”
