Philippine bet for Mister International Gil Wagas lost the crown to Mr. Venezuela Jose Anmer Paredes. The Mister International male pageant competition was held November 21, 2013 at the Skenoo Hall, Gandara City Mall, Jakarta, Indonesia.

Mister International 2013 Jose Anmer Paredes of Venezuela succeeded Ali Hammoud of Lebanon. Paredes surpassed 37 other good-looking men of the world and won the 8^th Mister International title.

However, the 22-year-old from Lapu-lapu City, Cebu marked the tale of the male pageant as the first Filipino representative to enter the final round of competition ranked top 5 of Mister International since the time begins in 2006.

Gil Wagas is a former member of UE Red Warriors basketball team, stand 6’3” and currently a fourth year BS HRM student at University of Cebu.
