Pinay Tattoo Artist “Jojo Geronimo” Violently Attacked in Vancouver -Video

An assault incident was caught on CCTV cameras at the tattoo shop involving the Filipina tattoo artist identified as Jojo Geronimo as the victim. The assailant was identified as a regular tattoo shop customer for more than 2 years Byron Thomas Hobbs in Vancouver, Canada.

The commotion started after the unsettled schedule arrangement when Geronimo decided not to do a retouch of Hobbs tattoo. Immediately, he became disappointed and asking for $15 refund which he claims he paid Geronimo.

According to the Filipina tattoo artist, Hobbs did not give her money but ordered him to leave. After hearing from her, Hobbs get mad and knocked her down and began to beat and kick her and hit her on the jaw.

“Instinct ko na lang. Humawak pa nga akong ganoon para kung babagsak man ako hindi mauuntog,” Geronimo told Cecile Docto of ABS-CBN News.

Geronimo was seen on the camera picking up the chair to be used to exchange blows against the six-footer attacker but unfortunately she was overpowered by him until the mall security guards arrived to rescue her and ended the assault.

Geronimo suffered bruises in several parts of her body and admits that the incident traumatized her.

Pinay Tattoo Artist Attacked in Vancouver“Biglang may pumapasok na mamang kalbo na mataas, natakot akong bigla. Hindi ko akalainng matatakot ako. Pinuntahan pa ako ng mga pulis sa bahay. Sabi sa akin, now you’re priority one so if you call 911 we have you on alert,” she said.

Before the assault incident in the tattoo shop, Hobbs was reportedly a suspect in an assault at a clothing store and stealing at the Gastown Tattoo Parlour.  He was caught by the authorities but he was able to free himself. He was arrested again for a different assault incident and giving threats. At present he has a pending court appearance.
