Following the reaction of a past MasterChef Pinoy Edition participant, Judy Ann Santos’ simple comment about cooking became political.
Judy Ann was punished by Pebbles Cunanan for explaining to the actress-host why she had quit her culinary vlog, Judy Ann’s Kitchen, first.
Judy Ann’s reality cookery show MasterChef PH (2012), where Pebbles was a previous contender.
Judy Ann revealed why she doesn’t have a new episode of her food vlog on an episode of Kapamilya morning show Magandang Buhay on July 4, 2022.
He said, “Ang hirap kasing mag-isip ng mga episodes especially kung ang pagtaas ng presyo ng bilihin ay napakalala.”
“Ayokong hindi maka-relate yung viewers sa kung anumang lutuin ang gagawin ko kasi parang napaka-unfair naman.
“Ayoko lang na parang masabihan ako na, ‘luto ka nang luto, di naman namin magagawa ‘yan…’”
Judy Ann stated that she does not want her culinary vlog, which is her love endeavor, to be considered as a profession.
Judy’s comment was the topic of Pebbles’ subsequent Facebook posts on July 9, 2022.
The former MasterChef PH participant issued her reply, which was enclosed with the quotation card containing Judy Ann’s comment.
Pebbles said, “Diskarte ghorl….mag-isip ka ng mga puede mong ipalit na ingredients juicemio….palibhasa sa mamahaling culinary school nag-aral eh….”
Judy Ann completed a culinary course with honors at the Center for Asian Culinary Studies in San Juan City.
Pebbles went on to preach to the actress-host: “Juday wag lang mag-base sa mga natutuhan sa culinary school.
“Ang pagtaas ng mga bilihin normal yan ang hindi normal yung CHEF ka tapos hindi mo alam dumiskarte ng mga puede mong gamiting ingredients sa pagluluto.”
Pebbles’ reaction to Judy Ann’s statement was likewise political.
“Paano kung mumurahing ingredients ang gagamitin mo, mapapasarap mo kaya yung lugaw ni Leni…chozzzzz [laughing with tears ang peace sign emojis]” She said.
“Tabehhhhh…..turuan kita…bet mo….aaay magaling ako magluto nohhhh…”
Pebbles’ comment refers to former Vice President Leni Robredo.
Pebbles was an outspoken supporter of the new and changing administration as well as a critic of Robredo.
