Regine Velasquez made fun of herself after holding her microphone incorrectly while performing on “ASAP Natin ‘To,” saying that viewers might not have even seen the embarrassing blunder.

During their “In Love with You” duet on the “ASAP Natin ‘To” episode from last Sunday, July 3, Jason Dy and Asia’s Songbird held their microphones upside-down. Thankfully, Velasquez realized her mistake, held the microphone properly, and carried on with her performance.

The show was recorded by fans, including one named @ultregine, but it is no longer accessible on YouTube.

A netizen said, “Ate [Regine] I love you but why? You’re the cutest,”

On the same day, Velasquez mocked the incident on her Twitter page. She said that admirers should not discuss what they observed with others.

“Wala naman nakapansin ‘di ba? #ehyungbaliktadmicko. ‘Wag kayo maingay ha,” Having told them Be quiet about it ([My mic was upside down]; I’m sure nobody noticed.)

Fans responded to Velasquez, some laughing along with her joke and others applauding the performer for carrying on regardless of the error.
