Miles Ocampo is well aware of how daring his boyfriend, Elijah Canlas, is in the Vivamax film LiveScream.
“Nagtutulungan po kami sa mga projects namin, e. Tinutulungan niya ako sa mga choices ko. Acting choices ko, ‘tapos ngayon nga po…” Elijah stated.
Miles said, “Ganun po pala pag may dyowang Best Actor!”
For the film Kalel, Elijah received Best Actor at the 43rd Gawad Urian, 68th FAMAS Awards, and 17th Asian Film Festival (2019).
After seeing Set C of Virgin Labfest 17: Hinga (VLF 17) on June 18, Saturday afternoon at Tanghalang Huseng Batute of the Cultural Center of the Philippines, Pasay City, Allan Diones, Mell Navarro, and I interviewed the couple, Elijah and Miles.
Set C of VLF 17 features the play Students’ Handbook, starring Elijah’s older brother, Jerom Canlas.
Miles and Elijah from the TV5 drama series Paano Ang Pangako? I’ve been dating for a year. (November 2020 to April 2021).
How are they doing?
“Happy, happy,” Elijah responded swiftly, and Miles said, “Happy naman po.”
Elijah was Miles’ first boyfriend. Elijah expressed gratitude that Miles responded.
The two revealed that they had an affair following the TV show in which they starred.
Miles guarantees, “E, baka kasi iniisip nila, ng mga tao, naging tayo nung PAP pa. Never kaming nag-uusap noong soap namin.”
Elijah added, “Nung ginagawa po namin yung Pangako, hindi po kami nag-uusap. Magkaeksena kami lagi, hindi kami nag-uusap.”
They’ve been locked in San Pablo City, Laguna, haven’t they?
“Matagal po, pero hindi kami nagpapansinan. Hindi kami naging close doon. May kanya-kanyang buhay kami,” Elijah said.
Miles said, “Hindi talaga! Nag-start kaming mag-usap, after ng lock-in po.”
And it was the end of their relationship.
What differences did they notice when they became friends versus when they were just buddies?
Jealousy laughed. Miles stated, “Nag-uusap na po…” na nag-overlap sa sagot ni Elijah, “Nag-uusap na po kami.”
Miles added, “Dati po talaga, wala. As in! Lalo na pag magkaeksena kami… nung pinag-uusapan nga po namin nung huli na, parang…
“May mga scenes tayo na mabibigat na parang dapat after, nag-usap pa tayo. Pero CUT! Babay. Ganun lang kami talaga.”
Elijah sighed, “Parang ako, feeling ko, lagi akong may kakampi na laging nakakaintindi, at laging nandiyan para sa akin.”
