As people continue to recognize Women’s Month with our #WinningWomen series (which has included social entrepreneur Anna Meloto-Wilk, voice actress Inka Magnaye, and numerous other inspiring women), our next featured wonder woman is actress Meryll Soriano.

Meryll Soriano, born Mary Rosalind Soriano Revillame, is a multi-awarded actress from the Philippines. She is well-known for her roles in Donor (2010), Pauwi na (2016), and John Denver Trending (2019). Since September 8, 2006, she has been married to Bernard Palanca. When the pandemic struck, award-winning actress Meryll Soriano decided to take a break from performing for a while.

like other parents in these trying times, she took advantage of the chance to devote more time to her kids, Eli and Gido.

She also chose to restart making material for her YouTube account. She began his YouTube output by posting videos of her interacting with then-eleven-year-old Eli, whom he dubbed “The Curious Two.”

Meryll returned to video publishing after a two-year break with “Dear Mama Meme,” a series of films on family, motherhood, and parenting.

“I try my best na yung content ko ay very substantial … about motherhood, parenting, family … doon talaga ako nag-fofocus.  I really try to still have a private life kahit na ang hirap sa digital content creation kasi gusto ng audience buong buhay mo makita,” Meryll explained.

Meryll stated that she has been referred to as “Mama Meme” by people close to her ever since. It all started when she was a member of the school’s varsity volleyball team and his teammates noticed her unusual attentiveness. Until the film industry, Mama Meme was also referred to as her.
