After thieves stole into Gerald Anderson’s car last January 31, snatching his gadgets and other belongings worth millions of pesos, he learned from experience to never leave his belongings inside again.
Two suspects broke into Gerald’s car, which was parked in front of a gym on Roces Avenue in Quezon City, as seen on CCTV tape. In an interview with ABS-CBN on Monday, he added,”Grabe, ang lalakas talaga ng loob niyo [mga suspek], kasi sa harap pa talaga ng pinto [ng gym]… I want to make this [incident para sa awareness] ng tao,”
“[Kasama sa mga nakuha] ‘yung mga IDs ko, passport, mga gadgets ko like laptop. Ang sama ng pakiramdam na ‘yon eh, ‘yung information mo, ‘yung credit card, ATM card mo… nawala.” Gerald added.
One of the accused persons turned himself in to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), revealing that he used Gerald’s laptop to hack into Gerald’s email account, transporting P50,000 from Anderson’s crypto wallet into his GCash account.
The other suspects afterward surrendered, claiming they had no intention of targeting the actor. The incident is still being investigated, and one of the alleged thieves has yet to be identified.
Gerald shared his takeaway from the awful experience: “Wag talagang mag-iwan ng bag sa loob ng kotse niyo.”
