After months of speculation, Vice Ganda and Ion Perez have confirmed that they will marry in late 2021. The comedian-host shared videos of their simple ceremony at the Las Vegas Chapel in Nevada, USA, in a 14-minute video posted on Sunday, February 13. According to the art card that Vice Ganda posted an hour before the vlog, the ceremony took place on October 19, 2021.

“Nandito ako na buong-buo ‘yung loob ko na makasama ka,” an emotional Ion said during their vow exchange. “Wala akong ibang masabi kundi mahal na mahal kita.” (I am here, wholeheartedly willing to be with you, and I can’t say anything else except that I love you.)

“Sa lahat ng gagawin ko sa buhay ko, isa ka sa magiging inspirasyon ko (In everything that I will do, you will be one of my inspirations.) You will be one of the best reasons for all of my achievements,” he continued, addressing Ion. And I promise, na isa ka sa magiging dahilan kung bakit ko pang mabuhay ulit bukas at sa mga susunod na araw (that you’re one of the reasons I want to keep living.)”

The couple concluded the video by sharing videos of their rings, a signed certificate of commitment, and additional photos from the ceremony. However, it should be acknowledged that same-sex marriage is not yet acceptable in Philippines. The presumptions may have been sparked by fan-created videos and photos of the couple’s “wedding” that recently spread on the internet. Vice and Ion have also been jokingly referring to each other as “asawa ko” on social media.
