Vice President Leni Robredo is make noise on social media following her claim that the absolute pardon granted to murder convict US Marine Joseph Scott Pemberton only proves that President Rodrigo Duterte’s government favors the rich and the privileged.

The scathing remark of Robredo on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 slams the President Duterte’s decision to pardon the killer of the Filipina transwoman Jennifer Laude.

“Isa lang ang kasong ito sa maraming patunay ng pagkiling sa makapangyarihan na nakikita natin mula sa pamahalaan. Napakaraming mga Pilipino na mas magaan ang sala, ngunit hindi nabibigyang-pansin o nabibigyan ng ganitong uri ng pribilehiyo,” Robredo said in a statement.

Because of her statement surfaced online, in response, the Duterte’s Diehard Supporters (DDH) criticizes her.

But the camp of Robredo continue posting of her achievement. Some posted the title of Leni Robredo as “President.”
