161 Confirmed Cases of Coronavirus in CEBU CITY under “Community Lockdown” as of April 17, 2020

A total of 161 confirmed positive cases of Coronavirus in Cebu City as of April 17, 2020. This barangay in Cebu City was placed under “community lockdown” after recording 82 cases of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) on Friday, April 17, 2020.

According to Mayor Edgardo Labella, 82 confirmed individuals are from Sitio Zapatera in Brgy. Luz, while the other 2 are from Brgy. Labangon.
There is nobody allowed to go out of the barangay as the City is under community lockdown.

Everyone is advised to stay at home and to wear a mask when they are out in public for very essential purposes.

Currently, PH is fighting against a pandemic that caused the locking down of several nations – the COVID-19. The said coronavirus has infected more than 1.5 million people across the globe.

As of 4 PM today, April 17, 2020, the Department of Health reports 218 new cases (PH5661-PH5878) of COVID-19. The total number of cases in the country is now at 5,878.

DOH also announce 52 new recoveries. This brings the total number of recoveries to 487.
