The Province of Negros Occidental Municipality of La Castellana office of the Mayor announces no classes tomorrow, Friday, February 7, 2020, due to the onslaught of the Novel-Corona Virus. According to their posts, Declaring Suspension of Classes (Tomorrow, Friday – February 7, 2020) for all Pre-School, Elementary, High School, and Tertiary Levels in all Public and Private Schools in the Municipality of La Castellana.

This is a precautionary measure to contain and mitigate the spread of the dreaded disease, the Novel Corona Virus that has claimed hundreds of lives in China and has created havoc in various parts of our country; furthermore, this is to put everyone’s health and safety the top priority, they added.

Recently, the death toll from the coronavirus outbreak in mainland China rose to 563 on Wednesday, February 6, 2020. Also, the Negros Oriental Province in All Levels announces class suspension tomorrow.

What is coronavirus? Coronavirus is a large family of viruses that cause illness ranging from the common cold to more severe diseases like pneumonia, MERS, and SARS.

Severe Symptoms:

1. High Fever

(100.4°F or higher)

2. Pneumonia

3. Kidney failure

4. Death
