A decade of waiting for justice to commit for the victim of Maguindanao Massacre will end today, Thursday, December 19, 2019.
As to remember, the Maguindanao Massacre happened last 10 years ago, November 23, 2009 in a certain place in the town of Ampatuan, Maguindanao province. The Maguindanao Massacre is considered the deadliest incident recorded in the history involving 32 journalists among the 58 people victims during the massacre.
The verdict of the Maguindanao Massacre will be pronounced by Judge Jocelyn Solis-Reyes of Quezon City RTC Branch 221.
The principal accused Zaldy Ampatuan among with the other accused in the Ampatuan dynasty are charged for an assault of the convoys of gubernatorial candidate and now House Rep. Esmael “Toto” Mangudadatu who were along the way going to Shariff Aguak to file the certificate of candidacy (COC).
During the massacre, Mangudadatu’s wife was killed among others including his 2 sisters, 12 other relatives and supporters, 2 lawyers and a father of one of the lawyers, 2 drivers, 6 passersby and 32 journalists. The people of the Philippines are now on their knees for the verdict since the time for almost one decade waiting for justice.
