A radio broadcaster was shot dead Thursday morning in Barangay Piapi in Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental. The victim was identified as Dindo Generoso, broadcaster at 96.7 Bai Radio.

A police spot report said Dindo Generoso, was driving his car when he was shot dead by a lone gunman along Hibbard Avenue in Barangay Piapi around 7:30 a.m. The victim ran for mayor of the city in 2016. Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
