Roxanne Acosta Cabañero, former pageant contestant who appeared before the public and media to shout out that she was abused by the actor comedy hosts Vhong Navarro.

The 24-year-old former beauty queen of Davao City who is now a Cebu resident told Doris Bigornia on Friday in an exclusive interview with ABS-CBN News that the incident she claimed was happened during her stint in a pageant in Manila on April 24, 2010.

According to Acosta, she met the comedian actor Vhong Navarro for the first time when she and her fellow candidates visited the studio of “It’s Showtime” in which Navarro was hosting the show and the one promoting the competition, she said.

She said that during her visit to the studio, Vhong Navarro got interested with her and asks her contact number through a girl that Navarro requested to get her number.

“May babae kasi sa ‘Showtime’ — I don’t know her name — bigla lang niyang sinikreto, na puwede bang hingin ‘yung number. Hinihingi raw ‘yung number [mo] ni Mr. Vhong. Sabi ko, ‘Okay” and she said that he give her number to that girl.

Cabañero admitted that she is one of the avid fans of the actor, and because of that she immediately give her number to the comedian host.

“Nadala lang siguro talaga ako kasi idol na idol ko siya. Siya iyung pinaka-unang artista na nakasama ko, na kinausap ako. Very first… And then ‘yon, nung kinausap niya ako… Nag-text siya sa akin. I can still remember the number. Sabi, ‘Hi, ito si Vhong. How are you?'”

During that time they exchange texting until one time the comedian actor host requested her to come to the hotel where she is staying, but she replied: “Hindi puwede, may mga kandidata, eh. Bawal din kasi kami magdala ng bisita, and aside from that may curfew kami sa paglabas,” she said. The actor replied her: “Sige, I’ll pick you up na lang”, Acosta told Doris Bigornia of ABS-CBN News.

“So ayun, he picked me up,” she said. But before they went out she texted Navarro where they will go, and the actor replied, “Diyan lang sa tabi-tabi, and let’s just talk about it over coffee,” she said.

According to Cabañero, Navarro change his mind as soon as she get inside the car of the actor, and told her that they will go somewhere private, she said.

After hearing it, Cabañero admitted that she was shocked and nervous because it was 12 midnight and there’s no people passing by in that place where actor instantly park the car under the shade of a tree where she was abused by the actor, she said.
