LGU’s several local government units and schools announce #WalangPasok or Class Suspensions on Monday, September 25, 2017 due to the transport strike against the government’s resolutions to phase out the Old Jeepney units.
Samahan ng Tsuper at Operators ng Pilipinas Genuine Organization (Stop and Go) stated that they would hold a two-day transport strike on September 25 and 26, 2017.
The President of Stop and Go Transport Coalition Jun Magno told press that the participation of at least 90 percent of their 74, 000 member-operators nationwide.
Here are the list of suspended works and schools due to transport strike:
- Metro Manila
- Malabon City – all levels, private And public schools
- San Sebastian College – Kinder to Grade 12
- University of the East (Caloocan) – Kinder to Grade 12
- University of the East (Manila) – Kinder to Grade 12
Bulacan
- Baliwag, Bulacan – all levels, private And public schools
- Bocaue, Bulacan – all levels, private And public schools
- Malolos, Bulacan – all levels, private And public schools
- Marilao, Bulacan – all levels, private And public schools
- San Jose del Monte, Bulacan – all levels, private And public schools
- Sta. Maria, Bulacan – all levels, private and public schools
The Malolos City goverment also announced the suspension of work at the city hall.
