In Lobo, Batangas, newlywed couple went viral on social media after the news posted online on News.abs-cbn.com. The wedding was made between 73-year0old Lydia Montalbo and 33-year-old Ferdinand dela Cruz. This is another love story that proves that age doesn’t matter.

According to the report, the love story of the two begun when Ferdinand was asked by his uncle to care for his mother-in-law, Lydia as the old woman needs attention because she is losing her vision due to cataract.

“Ako’y kinuha po ng tiyuhin ko sa amin, alagaan ko raw po ang kanyang biyenan,” Ferdinand said.

Ferdinand admitted that he did not love Lydia at first, nothing but simple pity on her because of her situation but he lately found out a little bit of feelings started to developed.

“Ako po ay inilagaan nire, siya po ay naawa sa akin. Hindi na po ako hiniwalayan nire. Sabi daw niya ako ay pakikisamahan habang nabubuhay,” Lydia said.

Lydia explained how thoughtful and caring Ferdinand was the very reason she feels in love with him.

“Maayos naman siyang mag-alaga sa akin, maintindi siya kaya ko siya nagustuhan. Saka ang tagal niya akong inalagaan gawa nga ng aking manugan,” she explained

Lydia also clears up the dirty imagination of other people regarding their relationship, knowing that some people expected that she is wealthy the reason Ferdinand seek after her.

“Wala naman po siyang makukuha sa akin, wala naman akong kayamanan, kanya po ay awa,” added Lydia.

The couple fixed their heart that they love one another as long as they lived.

“Mahal na mahal ko po ang nanay habang ako ay nabubuhay,” Lydia said.

Ferdinand also replied: “Aba’y mahal na mahal ko rin po ito habang ako’y nabubuhay.

No matter what people said on their relationship, they want to prove their love and no other reason behind the scene.

“Kami po ay nagmamahalan,” Lydia said.

On May 11, 2017 the two got married to prove that they love each other.
