The first batch of Armored Personnel Carriers (APCs) received by the Philippine Army from the United States on Thursday by the USA Embassy.

77 in total APC units have already transferred to the Philippines as part of 114 units expected from the United States.

The US Embassy renowned that the 37 APCS is scheduled on December 14 and the rest of the APCs will be delivering later this month of December 2015.

The APCs for the Philippine were formed because of the excess Defense Article program of the United States. Under this program, the military equipment from the United States from the United States will be transferred without any cost to ally the country. The Philippine army boost  the capacity of the Army’s Capacity of 343 units.

But The AFP also noted that the transferring of armored vehicles to the country from the USA was shouldered by the Government of the Philippines under President Benigno S. Aquino Jr. Administration.
